Healthier Chocolate Truffles
Rich, nutrient dense truffles with the perfect hint of sweetness.
Truffle
- 1/3 cup Almond butter
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Coconut flour
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
Chocolate Shell
- 1/3 cup Dark chocolate
- 1/2 tsp coconut oil
- Kosher salt
Truffles
Add the almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract into a bowl and mix together.
Add in the coconut flour and cocoa powder and mix until thoroughly combined.
Once the mixture is combined, use your palms to roll into balls.
This mixture will form between 6 and 10, depending on how big you want to make them!
Put the truffles on a plate and place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
Chocolate Shell
While the truffles are hardening, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave. I do 20 second increments, stirring in between.
Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate mix until covered completely, and then set it on a piece of parchment paper. Immediately sprinkle a few flakes of sea salt on top of each truffle before the chocolate has a chance to harden.
Once the truffles are all covered in chocolate and sprinkled with salt, let them sit in the refrigerator for another 5-10 minutes before digging in!
